All-encompassing Glory

I am aware of how fanatical folk get, especially about religion. I am also aware of how I appear to some who look at me through their various religious prisms. I’ve long since been impervious to the perceptions and opinions of others….not disdainfully…..but I recognize that most people will be stuck their whole lifetimes with particular opinions. That is their choice to make….which I respect. I’ve long passed the stage where I believe that my purpose is to convert the world into my own image. Love it like it is for what it is. That’s joy (with some pain thrown in for good measure).

I find great pleasure in highlighting the work of someone I call a Father in Christian Faith, Pastor Alph Lukau. Yes, his grace is unique and powerful, but there are thousands upon thousands of Christians, ministers and lay people who regularly operate with similar capacity in the spiritual realm…on every continent. Every single day, somewhere in the world, somebody is raised from the dead, healed instantly of stage 4 cancer or through supernatural surgery is given replacement internal or external organs; and such the like. (And healing is such fun, no?….give me anointing over medicine or surgery any day)

The only reason that relatively common place miracles even appear to be incredulous is a mental filter or mindset – an unnatural conditioning, like a vaccination, disseminated through the standard education curricula for the majority of the world’s people.

I have great respect for the Oxfords and Harvards of the world.  But they are not the final arbiters of human experience. And in many ways, they reflect flawed systems sullied by politics and prejudice as with all human institutions. They too are in flux – just a part of the conversation shaping human reality.

Christianity is not now, never was and never will be homogenous. That was never the intent of its founder. Unity and homogeneity are not the same. I love Alph Lukau, and I love Shepherd Bushiri just as intensely. The fact that Shepherd is now under investigation for money laundering is for me inconsequential. I know how presumptuous and arrogant he can come across.

I know his story. I know who he is and I am proud of everything about him. God raised up that barefoot boy to be the ‘boasy’ (a Jamaicanism meaning ‘proud’)  billionaire prophet so many love to hate. His story is in much Greater Hands than his haters.  I can say the same of TB Joshua. Uebert Angel and a whole lot of earthern vessels God has filled with His Treasure and Glory.

People can get me wrong. I  have tremendous love for (and great respect for the work of) Brother Pat Robertson and the late Oral Roberts and Billy Graham…and his son…how could I love one not the other…  and the list goes on and on and on….from every continent, and sector of Christendom.

Matters of justice and truth will sometimes get me riled up but those men and women who publicly represent Christ to their generation, and help so many in the process; whatever their flaws, real or imagined, they are all mine. That’s my family. My team. My soul group. My heart.  The excellent ones in whom is all my delight. My JOY.

This Glorious Truth that transforms human lives and frees it from material and spiritual limitations of all sorts is worthy of being promoted, understood, accepted, refined, presented, shared and embraced. In the end, its not human vicissitudes that is of greatest interest, but the Nature and Potential of Consciousness – this is what Christ reveals to us:

“To them I have declared Your Name and will continue to declare it. That the love with which you have loved me might be in them.” Amen.
