How were the fortified city walls penetrated so easily?

So strategically positioned and internally resourced was she, Zion was considered impregnable. Surrounded by David’s troops, the inhabitants were not even slightly alarmed. In fact, they dared him to try, with taunts that even the blind and cripple could successfully repel any advance he might attempt.

One unorthodox but credible Bible commentator, doubting the official record attributing to Joab the conquest of the city, offered an interesting take on what would have been the battle of battles at the time. In an attempt to explain the unusual lack of detail in the Hebrew chronicle of what was a seminal moment in David’s reign, (for a people who relished recounting the exploits of Yahweh Sabaoth) and other anomalies such as the sudden appearance thereafter of the Zadok priesthood, he reasoned that the gates were open from the inside and Zion capitulated to David by treaty or treachery but not triumph, as the biblical text indicates..

Whether or not his theory is accepted, it suffices the purpose of this reflection to note that when well fortified cities fall, one wonders what tactics were employed that led to victory. The current investigations now being undertaken to understand the chain of events that led to the recent act of domestic terror at the US Capitol and the responsible actors that fomented this attempted coup, have the eyes of the country’s intelligence agencies scrutinizing extremist factions and their links to the President.

It is noteworthy to remember that prior to the capitol invasion from within, there was an equally mysterious invasion from without. How related are the two and is there a common denominator for both ….from within …. and without?

Months ago, I wrote about serpents in the secret place. The essence of espionage is impersonation. To conceal intent by false representation. Then one can coopt and deploy actors completely unaware of their mission to effect outcomes for which forensics will be hard pressed to yield true results. The mind/spirit leaves behind no prints.

In an unpublished blogpost last month, I examined the nature of synchronicity, an ambitious project as some of the best minds in science are themselves clueless to explain, and those in religion often overconfident in explaining. The post itself, was entitled “Hacked!”, and as I would later discover, was synchronous with the major headlines two days later, (relieved as I was then that I had decided not to publish it, lest my intentions be made suspect or worse yet, I be labeled or libeled a ‘prophet’) focussed attention on that creative flow of energy released by focused intent and how it interfaces with people and events in an almost conspiratorial fashion when skillfully activated and relatively unobstructed.

Dutch Sheets in his daily prayer for the triumph of President Trump attributes such phenomena as he gives testimony of, to ‘holy spirit’ whose emblem in scripture is a dove. Interestingly, the ancient Egyptians identified the force doubly as Uatchet and Nekhebet, the two Ladies (archons) of Upper and Lower Egypt respectively, iconized as cobra and vulture. The duality there symbolic of the nature of mind and spirit (good/evil, segregative/congregative, creative/destructive)

Investigative judgment is a meticulous process ill advised to be rushed or undertaken with caprice. Not only must the affairs of this world be scrutinized, the acts and intents of the earthly actors who create them (and allow them to be created), but also the influences unleashed and modalities deployed in their creation.

It is not the time for sentencing, only to keep one’s eyes on the prize – Justice, Truth. Although for those focusing only on human affairs and outcomes, much might be missed and much might be mistaken. Zion has already fallen. Only some eyes do not yet see it….and some may not recognize it when they do. So I agree with my Brother Dutch. God’s Truth (and those who will defend it to the end) is marching on. Glory!
