I can’t say that I’ve had a single new revelation in the last 35 years. I would attribute all of the content of my thinking and writing to a single epiphany in an instant of time…. an unforgettable moment. All the multilayered thought expressed in each of my blogs is merely an attempt at articulating that moment’s insight. I have already expressed how much I’d rather those that choose to read my blogs recognize that most of what is said is written between the lines. Each blog generally references a body of knowledge…some writing whether my own or that of another, but in my mind all creation speaks with one voice. The essential nature of the universe is unity. One voice. ‘One verse’. One Word…. eternal, everlasting and constantly finding new modes of expression,
My last seven blog posts in particular express one contiguous theme. How I wish that those who choose to read would also seek to explore the references in red. The invitation to dig in is the desire to be understood clearly, even though it appears that everything in our culture orients us away from clarity of understanding. We make occlusion a virtue, or at least a tactic of necessity for successful navigation of life. Only in heaven do we expect to see a sea of glass. Those on earth prefer to be as mysterious as the ocean. (That’s why I love the river’s nakedness.) It would appear that being clearly understood is the worst thing that could possibly happen to most people. But it is truly what we all seek.
