The Power and the Glory

Glamorous is the exact opposite of Glorious. At least in the Biblical sense. One speaks of outward luster, the other the outshining of the inwardly pure. I’ve written an entire series on Chabod … what some Christians and Jews have called Shekinah, though the source of that is not strictly from Hebrew tradition. Nevertheless the meaning is essentially faithful, although some feel the need to sacralize some cultures and demonize others. Macro-fundamentalism. Not just on the level of denomination / cult or sect, but race, ethnicity and civilization. But a tree is a tree across cultures. As is a he or a she. We can do with them all what we may. But there is the reckoning.

The need to establish superiority (to appear glamorous) is a weakness of the insecure. Nothing holy about that in whatever form. Truth is, the meek will inherit the earth. The really glorious often looks anything but glamorous. In fact, the delight of the Creative intelligence expressing itself in nature is to hide the holy in the hideous. The pure in the offensive. To confound the wise with the simple. We know the scriptures. It’s not about form. Substance … character is where the glory comes from.

Shekinah etymologically is related not only to shekel but also to sheik. Wealth, weight and wisdom are (or at least once were) associated with leadership. My intention in these lessons is to look at divine power (the only power there is) translated into different orders of logic or realms. How it manifests in human social systems are the insights being sought after. The lessons we all must learn … if ever our God is to manifest in earthly government … for if not all our faith is in vain. We clearly need to read the scriptures with fresh eyes.

Power can be stolen. Character cannot. Character can only be corrupted because the power and the glory go together. It does not so seem upon earth but this is the reality. Time warps what’s real. Character is not only destiny. It is power. Information is not just heady. The heart too is programmable. When the scriptures speak of God’s laws or his ways, that’s the glory. Psalm 19.

That explains why they – the invisible principles Jesus sought to teach through his parables, the God zone governors / kingdom keys /the arch-principles of the spirit realm are more to be desired than gold…seek it first and the wealth comes as bonus and with no sorrow.

Power can be highjacked, but it will eventually return to the owner. It is an emanation of God. People manipulators and power stealers have a limit beyond which they cannot transcend. Character qualifies (or not) transcendence. That goes for all types of Satans (devils / deceivers).

Creation does not always groan for glory. There is that season it yields its fruit gladly to those who have prepared the way.
